A 10-week songwriting workshop will be offered beginning Wed. Sept. 8 at Ty Hager Studios in Bartlesville. The workshop will cover song structure, co-writing, the business of songwriting, and demo recording and submission, and is intended for beginning as well as intermediate songwriters, lyricists and instrumentalists. All genres of music will be covered, and participants will record a demo of their songs.
The workshop will be moderated by Ty Hager, an ASCAP songwriter who has written over seven hundred songs, received national airplay, and released two CDs on a NY label. In 2005 Hager was selected from over 1500 applicants to participate in the ASCAP songwriter workshop in Nashville. He’s also co-written and been mentored by some of Nashville’s top songwriters.
