Cara’s is a darling of an eatery, located in the red brick old-time shopping center, Brunwick Place, in downtown Fort Smith. It’s splashy and eclectic, cozy and inviting. The food is designed by Cara herself, who is a very creative person. A few of her wonderful menu items are The Whistle Stop BLT made with fried green tomatoes, a glorious vegetable sandwich made with portabella mushrooms, red peppers and other veggies, pulled pork tacos with her very own made on site salsa and some of the most interesting salads ever. The strawberry chicken salad is made with chicken, lettuce, strawberries, walnuts, red onions, parmesan and mushrooms, served with poppy seed dressing. Another hit is made with two types of grape tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh basil and black olives. Cara is also famous for her luscious desserts and seasonal soups.
