It’s the last weekend this year to celebrate riding your hog at Hawg Lakes, so if you’ve got bike, the Hawg Lakes Motorcycle Rally in Tecumseh, Okla. is the place to be Sept. 9-12. Tickets to the last bike rally of the Hawg Lakes season start at $40 for the entire four day affair, $30 for all RVs and other types of recreational automobiles and $20 for a one-day pass for those looking to take in one glorious day of the beautiful Pott County scenery.
Truly reveling in the early depiction of the biker persona, the folks at Hawg Lakes have brought in ‘70s - ‘80s rock bands along with more popular local sensations to encourage a loud carousing time that both biker boys and biker babes are sure to enjoy. Billed as a “biker’s paradise” the festivities will include great food, adult fun and live music by bands The Chase Band, Uncalled For, Turnpike Troubadours and New Dynasty Roxx – T.C. Love.
Hawg Lakes is located on 80 acres of gorgeous green property and is surrounded by seven peaceful ponds sure to cool any hot body needing a cool-down. The camp grounds at Hawg Lakes are shaded by Oklahoma birches and cedars making for a cool place to relax and recover from the day’s events. The camp grounds have fully functional bath houses, toilets and showers because as the folks at Hawg Lakes put it, “just because you are roughing it, you don't have to smell like it!”
As an added and often overlooked comfort at most bike rallies, the roads at Hawg Lakes are paved with asphalt in order to help keep dust clouds from ruining the beautiful atmosphere and keep the air clean.
The overall goal of a Hawg Lakes Bike Rally is for everyday men and women to be able to forget their troubles for one fun-filled four day weekend while seeing the world from the seat of their own two wheels.
